AME CEE 2026: What You Need to Know

AME CEE (Aircraft Maintenance Engineering Common Entrance Exam) is a national‐level exam in India for aspirants seeking admission into aviation‑related courses (AME, Aeronautical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Commercial Pilot License, BBA in Aviation, BSc in AME, and certificate courses like Cabin Crew, Airport Management, Ground Staff).

Registration / Application Process

• The application form is available online via the official website: amecee.in. 

• Candidates must fill out personal and academic details, upload required documents (photograph etc.), and make the payment of application fee. 

• Once payment is successful, an acknowledgement / registration number is sent or shown to the candidate. Save it — it is needed for future correspondence (admit card, result etc.).

Eligibility / Qualification Criteria

Eligibility depends on the particular course you are applying for (AME, Pilot License, Engineering, certificate etc.). Here are the common criteria:

Course / Program	Minimum Qualifications / Conditions
Aircraft Maintenance Engineering (AME, DGCA / EASA)	Must have passed or be appearing in 10+2 with PCM (Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics) from a recognised board. Diploma holders in relevant engineering streams are also eligible in many cases.
Aeronautical Engineering / Aerospace Engineering	10+2 with PCM OR PCB. Some programmes may allow other school qualifications or diplomas subject to approval.
Commercial Pilot License (CPL)	10+2 with PCM. Also must meet minimum marks, age (17+), DGCA medical fitness etc.
BBA in Aviation / Certificate Courses (Cabin Crew, Ground Staff, Airport Management etc.)	Generally 10+2 (any stream) is sufficient.

Other notes:

• There is no colour‑blindness allowed for AME (specifically for Aircraft Maintenance Engineering) in many cases. 

• Age limits: For the general AME CEE exam, the age range is roughly 14‑28 years for many courses. 

• Number of attempts: A candidate may take the AME CEE exam up to three times.
  
  

Exam Pattern & Syllabus

The pattern of the exam depends on your qualification stream (10+2 PCM / PCB, Diploma, 10th etc.). Number of questions, marking scheme etc vary accordingly. Below are the details:

Exam Pattern

• Total Questions: 75 MCQs 

• Total Marks: 300 (each question carries 4 marks) 

• Negative Marking: 1 mark deducted for each wrong answer. 

• Duration: 90 Min 

• Languages: English and Hindi for the question‑paper.
  
  

Syllabus / Subject Breakdown Based on Qualification

Here are the subject‑wise breakdowns depending on your background:

For diploma / English / aptitude stream, the topics are more general awareness, basic English, reasoning / logical aptitude etc. 

Fee

• For General / OBC (male) candidates: ₹ 1,200
  
  

• For Female / SC / ST / other reserved categories: ₹ 1,000
  
  

Qualifying Marks / Cut‑off

The official qualifying marks/cut‑off vary each year and depend on:

• Number of applicants

• Difficulty level of exam

• Seats available in participating institutes etc.

However, a few known points:

• Since each correct answer gives +4 and incorrect gives −1, candidates must aim for a score well above zero.

• Top ranks often get scholarships (up to 100%) for first semester tuition fees. 

• All those who “qualify” (i.e. get above the minimum cut) are eligible for counselling / seat allotment depending on All‑India Rank (AIR). 

Scholarships

A good thing is, AME CEE offers Upto 100% scholarships for students based on performance. Some examples:

• Rank 1‑3: possibly 100% tuition fee waiver 

Exam Day / Additional Info

• Exam can be online or offline, depending on exam centre or candidate choice. 

• Bring admit card + valid ID proof.

• No offline application (for AME CEE) — only online form filling. 

How to Prepare / Tips

While this is not official, based on the exam pattern:

1. Focus on fundamentals of Physics, Mathematics, Chemistry if coming from PCM stream.

2. For Aptitude / English / Reasoning, practise from standard aptitude books, previous MCQs.

3. Take mock tests/time yourself since exam is just 1:30 hour for 75 questions — time management is critical.

4. Revise formulas & definitions well (electromagnetism, laws of motion, etc.).

5. For CPL or AME license, also ensure medical fitness, color vision etc as required.
